The CooperTown Cafe

About The CooperTown Cafe
Mississippi blues and great ole’ & rsquo; comfort food just appear to go hand-in-hand. They certainly go well with each other at Coopertown Café, a dining establishment situated in Hattiesburg, run by native Brookhaven siblings, Cameron and Doyce Cleckler. “& ldquo; We come from a cooking household,” & rdquo; claimed proprietor, Cameron Cleckler. Their grandparents, Houston and Gladys Jordan, opened up The 84 Milk Spin in the 1960s. Not only are the food and songs southern, however the décor is, too. Each tabletop display screens a style, whether it be “& ldquo; Selected the Wind” & rdquo; or & ldquo; Southern Miss. & rdquo; Camp Shelby is also represented. “& ldquo; Every table top is an initial that we made ourselves,” & rdquo; stated C. Cleckler. The café has an informal feel. The owner defined the environment as “& ldquo; very laid back & rdquo; – and & ldquo; laid-back dining & rdquo;-- the best ambience for the smooth, silky blues. A quote in the colorful Coopertown Café food selection reads, “& ldquo; Food performed with love by individuals that like food.” & rdquo;
